Alan Rickman was famous for playing villains, from the Sheriff of Nottingham to Hans Gruber, and Shakespeare’s Tybalt. However, Rickman was at comedy, too.
I think that’s one of the reasons we loved him as Snape in the Harry
Potter films so much — because he had the ability to be menacing
and hilarious all at once.
